Neo-Dadaisme

Neo-Dadaism

Influenced by Marcel Duchamp's ready mades and the composer John Cage who gave Rauschenberg the idea of t acting in the gap between art and life, the two young American painters Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns created around 1954 a new artistic school the Neo-Dadaism, being in distinct opposition to the ruling Abstract Expressionism.
