Fluxus

Fluxus

Fluxus means 'fluid' and describes the character of the movement as well as its ideas about art that often go beyond normal limits in relation to the traditional genres. Both in their art pieces and in their happenings they try to appeal to several senses, sight, hearing and smell simultaneously.

The international movement with artists from USA, Europe and Japan got its name in 1961 by George Maciunas.
