Pop Art i Europa

Pop Art in Europe

Influenced by his personal friend Marcel Duchamp Richard Hamilton created as early as in the late t 50s the first pop pictures and so founded the English Pop Art running parallel to the American. Richard Hamilton's position in English art corresponds to Jasper Johns' and Robert Rauschenberg's in the USA. Beside Richard Hamilton it is David Hockney being the standard bearers of the English Pop Art.
